1. Information We Collect
Stored locally on your deviceAthlos stores the following data that you enter directly in the app. All of it lives on your device and is not transmitted to Athlos servers:
- Body weight, height, age, and physical measurements
- Fitness goals (target weight, daily calorie goal, step goal, workout frequency)
- Daily nutrition logs — meals, macros, calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat
- Workout sessions, exercises, sets, reps, and weight lifted
- GPS route data for runs, walks, hikes, and cycles (stored on-device only)
- Vital signs you log manually — resting heart rate, respiratory rate, SpO2
- Progress photos (stored encrypted on-device, unlocked by Face ID / biometric)
- Recovery and well-being check-ins
Step count data is read from your device's built-in pedometer and is not stored on any server.
2. Data Sent to Third-Party Services
AI featuresAthlos uses the following third-party services. No personally identifiable health data is shared with any of them except as described below:
Manages in-app subscriptions and purchase verification. RevenueCat receives anonymised purchase transaction data (no health data) and assigns you a random user ID for subscription state management. RevenueCat Privacy Policy →
Powers the AI Meal Planner feature (Pro subscribers only). When you request a meal plan, your macro targets (calorie goal, protein, carbs, fat), selected dietary preferences, and meal count are sent to OpenAI's API to generate a personalised meal plan. No health metrics, body measurements, GPS data, progress photos, or personal identifiers are shared with any third party.
3. Device Permissions
Athlos may request the following permissions. All are optional unless otherwise noted — you can deny any permission and the rest of the app will continue working normally.

| Notifications | Sends optional daily workout and nutrition reminders. You can disable at any time in iOS Settings → Athlos → Notifications. Optional |
You can revoke any permission at any time in your device's Settings → Athlos.
4. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used solely to operate the features of the Athlos app:
- Calculating your daily macro and calorie targets
- Displaying training volume, streak, and performance trends
- Generating AI meal plans (Pro — macro targets sent to OpenAI only)
- Tracking body composition changes over time
- Sending local notification reminders (entirely on-device)
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the features you use.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
All your data lives on your device. You can delete it at any time by:
- Using Settings → Reset All Data within the app
- Uninstalling the Athlos app from your device
Because data is stored on-device, we have no ability to access or recover it from our end. Deleting the app removes all your data permanently.
6. Children's Privacy
Athlos is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the app and provided personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy when we add new features or integrations. Significant changes will be communicated via an in-app notice or a notification. The updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
